Epic components in the works of Samani era

Abstract
In examining the oral and written literature of nations, paying attention to epic
literature is very important in comparison with other examples of literature and
other branches of art, because these works are the most important and effective
works that help in understanding many cultural, ethnic, racial, Customs and
social relations help us. Undoubtedly, the fourth century, the period of Samanid
rule, should be considered the peak of Islamic civilization. The current research,
which was carried out in a descriptive-analytical method, has examined and
examined the factors of the emergence of epics and how the great national epics
of Iran were formed during the history of thought and literature of the Samanid
era and the culture that shaped Iran's spiritual assets. In this article, we first
entered the category of literature and its types from a general perspective, and
then presented a comprehensive definition of the epic and its nature. Then, the
epic components in the fertile area of the Samanids have been investigated.
Among the most important epic components in this era: the authenticity of
narrations and trustworthiness, reference to Iranian and Semitic mythology,
surkhyal, repetition and imitation, mention of valor and famous battles, mention
of weapons and the battlefield, love and the role of women in the advancement
of the epic, Sahar And charm, justice can be called.
