abstract
With the beginning of the eight-year war between Iraq and Iran, the literature of
holy defense was formed. The presence of women in the literature of this field
is very sensitive, colorful and undeniable; Whether as an author in the creation
of works of holy defense, or as the main and secondary characters in these
works, which is a reflection of their bravery and sacrifice and promoting the
culture of martyrdom and sacrifice in the eight-year Iran-Iraq war and after that.
. The effect of women's resistance and sacrifices in the works of holy defense,
especially in the novel Jang, is small, transitory and influential. In the present
study, which was carried out in a descriptive-analytical method and based on
library data, the author discussed the role of women in promoting the culture of
martyrdom and self-sacrifice during the war and after it, and its tremendous
impact and reflection. In 16 novels, he has examined and discussed the holy
defense in the 80s and 90s. The findings of the research show that: women are
involved in promoting the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom, both directly
(presence at the fronts) and indirectly (behind the fronts, nursing, financial aid,
encouraging and stimulating the warriors, marrying veterans, promoting the
values of the front, etc.) have played a significant role and these roles have been
very effective in the stable literature of the country.
