New finding couplet (mathnavi) of “vali Dasht

Abstract

“Dasht bayazy” is one the poem of tenth century A.H that has a literal work .His
work were corrected with twelve manuscripts twice and contain sonnets, odds,
quatrain and a part of his couplet. There is a couplet was composed by “vali” in
majles libraries’ manuscript in number 1122 about description of “Ayaz”’s
visage in meter of nezami’s “shirin and khosrow” that isn’t present in correction
work. There is twelve couplets with 290 verses in corrected work which all of
th
them are incomplete. This manuscript probably was written in 11 century and
is valuable for the reason of writing in the era near “vali”s lifetime. In this
essay, we compare our new couplet with other “vali”s couplets in his complete
work.
