Introduction

Al-Mustafa International University, based on a strong history of educational experience and a foundation of valuable academics and research resources, has positioned itself on a path of fundamental transformation. To meet the challenges of international developments and emerging global needs, we must adapt our educational methods and strategies. Educational, cultural, and social planning, both on small and large scales, across the world’s geographical expanse, and educational and social exchanges between various countries, requires scholars well-versed in the issues and problems of their respective parts of the world. These scholars, having studied and learnt Islamic teachings, can contribute to the expansion of Islamic knowledge by understanding and analyzing the needs of their respective regions. Consequently, the establishment of the field of ‘Islamic Jurisprudence and Family Jurisprudence’ can play a significant role in promoting and developing authentic Islamic discussions and issues in different regions. This serves as a fundamental strategy towards achieving Islamic goals and ideals. The field of contemporary jurisprudential studies, guided by this vision, aims to effectively address some of the challenges faced by human societies.

 

Objectives

  1. Achieving a deep understanding and providing logical explanations of Islamic Jurisprudence, especially regarding emerging and relevant issues.
  2. Training Islamic scholars and researchers in studies related to new and pertinent topics.
  3. Preparing teachers for undergraduate programs in related fields, both domestically and internationally.
  4. Laying the foundation for producing and expanding the boundaries of knowledge in emerging issues related to jurisprudence.
  5. Applying jurisprudence to solve new problems in order to design a dynamic Islamic educational system.
  6. Providing an academic defense of the dynamism and superiority of the Islamic jurisprudence system compared to other schools of thought, along with addressing any doubts.
  7. Imparting moral training to students based on authentic Islamic teachings.
  8. Making the course practical for use in daily life.

 

Necessity and Importance


The necessity of establishing the fields of Islamic Jurisprudence and Family Jurisprudence:
1. The victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (RA) as a seminarian and religious authority and drawing the attention of the people of the world, both Muslim and non-Muslim, to Islamic Iran as the only Shia country with a revolutionary government. To recognize the seminary of Qom as the center of Shiism and cater to the increase in emigration to Iran for those interested in the teachings of pure Muhammadan Islam.
2. The desire of many scholars to become familiar with Islamic teachings, especially contemporary jurisprudence.
3. The confrontation of religious scholars with emerging jurisprudential issues and the necessity of being prepared to provide answers based on the Holy Quran and traditions of the Prophet (pbuh).
4. The need of Islamic communities for religious scholars who are well-versed and familiar with jurisprudential issues, considering the multitude of questions related to day-to-day contemporary issues.
5. The need of seminaries and religious schools in Islamic countries of scholars who are familiar with common seminary texts and have the ability to teach them.
6. The necessity of proving the dynamism and activeness of the intellectual and jurisprudential system of Islam due to its universality and eternalness.

 


 Conditions and Requirements to enter the University


Bachelor's degree
1. Having a diploma or level one of seminary education
2. Verification of aptitude and ability to learn academic topics
3. Acceptance in the interview and entrance evaluation
4. No legal barriers in education


Master's degree
1. Having a bachelor's degree or level two of seminary education
2. Verification of aptitude and ability to learn academic topics
3. Acceptance in the interview and entrance evaluation
4. No legal barriers in education
