One of the most significant distinctions between human beings and animals lies in their adherence to and belief in immaterial matters. While these supernatural issues cannot be experienced or empirically proven, they play a pivotal role in our lives. Belief in a one God, life after death, and accountability to a divine entity are fundamental themes across all religions. To date, there have been no documented cases of animals subscribing to the concept of an afterlife or assuming any responsibility towards a divine being.
On the other hand, throughout history, there have been no nations or groups of human beings without some form of supernatural beliefs. Bedouin communities, for instance, believed in spiritualism, and worship was very common among them.
